Miranda and her butternut squash

Keenan golf's with a friend who has his own garden and grows butternut squash. Keenan talked to him about Miranda enjoying butternut squash and then he brought Miranda 4 nice size butternut squash. Miranda was also doing a pre-Red Egg and Ginger outfit trying on so grandma could hem her pants. Thought it was a cute picture to share.

When it comes to me everyone helps!

Sometimes feeding me can wipe out mommy and daddy leaving them with little energy to clean me...that's when my bro Skylar lends a hand....well kinda...

5 months!!

Wow! I can't believe how the time has been flying by. This month you have discovered that you really don't like rice cereal and edaname, which we think is a little weird you Asian baby. I'm sure it's just the texture you really don't like. You love all the vegetables that we have given you greens beans, peas, and zucchini. You just recently started fruit you like the peaches. Daddy has held off on giving you anything sweet because of the Shue sweet gene. You have even learned to drink water from a soft top sippy cup. You have learned to roll over on you left side and once you have learned you can roll over you are having more fun with tummy time. We have enjoyed taking you to the beach and your first road trip. We will have many more vacations and road trips planned in the future. You love to play with your toys now, you have many but Mr. Bun Bun and your burp cloth are still your favorite. You have learned to pull on mommy's hair, necklace, shirt and even daddy's hair. It's amazing what those little fingers can get a hold of. You like to put everything in your mouth, your hands, toys, blankets, even when you get a hold of daddy's fingers you try to sneak them into your mouth. Along with putting everything in your mouth you discovered putting your feet up on everything. When you are in your bouncer you rest your feet up on the bar, in your stroller you rest your feet up by the sun cover. You must be watching daddy rest his feet up on the coffee table when he is watching TV. We love your happy smile that lights up the room. Also, this month mommy and daddy decided that this precious time we have with you as a baby we will never get this time back. Mommy will have 6 months home with you and now daddy is going to stay home with you to enjoy this precious time with you. This will make mommy's transition to work a lot easier next month. We are so happy that you are a part of our lives. We can't imagine anything more precious.
We love you soooooo much!

1st trip to the beach

Miranda passed out on the walk along the beach

Miranda and daddy having fun putting footprints in the sand
Miranda's 1st experience with the ocean water coming up to her feet

On Tuesday Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary. We decided to spend the day taking Miranda on her 1st road trip to the coast where mommy and daddy took a road trip 10 years ago when we had our first spring break together. We drove to Stinson Beach then up the coast to Bodega Bay. We enjoyed putting Miranda's feet in the sand, and in the ocean for the 1st time. Then after playing we had lunch and then took at walk on the beach and as you can see Miranda was tuckered out.

Sitting up and sitting down

Miranda has been practicing sitting up but she sits down pretty well too. Actually today was the first time she rolled from her front to back. We just got a video camera so I hope she will do it again for the camera to show everyone.

Enjoying her peas and zucchini

The last couple weeks have been busy and I haven't updated the blog to let you know that Miranda is now beyond rice cereal and green beans. Daddy has cooked her peas and zucchini and Miranda loves it! She hasn't passed up a meal she hasn't liked though. Here are some of her fun pictures. The day she had zucchini she was so excited that she passed out in her seat after she finished.
