Miranda and Reese
This year we set out with a group to go trick or treating. The Asuncion's Elk Grove, The Asuncion's Stockton, The Brown's and The Gong's headed out to trick or treat. We found that all Miranda's friends and cousins were not scared of anything. As for Miranda she says she doesn't like spider's, spider webs, skeleton's, or witches. So that leaves pumpkins, cats, and .... The houses she was willing to go up to were homes that didn't have Halloween decor or just had pumpkins lit in the front. We went to Miranda's daycare where they have a haunted house. Ms. Courtney, mom or dad would not get to get her to candy. I really thought her sweet tooth would win over the scary stuff. Not so much. Today when I took her to daycare they had one skeleton left and it took me 40 minutes to get her to go kicking and screaming to school today. :)

Fog Willow Pumpkin Patch
I didn't fit in a pumpkin, but I fit in between the pumpkins!
Look at what I found!
Last year we went to Fog Willow and enjoyed the pumpkin patch the hay rides, petting zoo, and pony rides. We bought into the pumpkin pickers club so every year till Miranda turns 13 we can go back and get a pumpkin and enjoy the farm. This year we went during the week because of the rainy weather during the weekend. Miranda enjoyed the search for her pumpkin this year.

Last Swim Lesson Session for the Summer
Playing Ring around the Rosie!
Using big arms!
From the skills that they test the kids on during the lessons on she has been able to complete all the seahorse (level II):
This year Miranda took four sessions of swim lessons we started in July and now are ending in October. She has really progressed in her swimming and we are so happy that she is comfortable with the water. Actually, to comfortable with the water. Labor day weekend she told us when we were swimming at the club that she didn't want to wear the arm floats anymore. She took them off and started swimming from the stairs to me, from me to the dad, and then back to the stairs. She would just hold her breathe from one place to another. Now after two more sessions of lessons she is using her arms, coming up to breathe periodically, and using her big kicks. It is amazing to see how much she has progressed.
From the skills that they test the kids on during the lessons on she has been able to complete all the seahorse (level II):
- unsupported front float
- unsupported back float
- unsupported front kick
- unsupported back kick
- intro to side breathing
- back crawl arm action
- jump into shallo water unassisted
- retrieve objects under the water
- combined front stroke for 5 yards (Miranda is still working on this one, she is at 3 yds.)
For mom and dad we are so proud of her. Miranda has really enjoyed the water and we have enjoyed watching her enjoy the water.

I have a cup in my nose
What happened?
Why does Miranda keep telling me that she has a cup in her nose! This is why. Since Saturday Miranda has been picking at her left nostril. We have asked her to stop picking her nose! Tried to squeeze her nose and she would scream. Sunday we used saline solution and tried an aspiraor. Nothing came out. Tonight after her shower she said use the nose thing. She said I have a cup in my nose. What? I went on to clean one nostril with the aspirator then to the other, why is there a big booger that is stuck still. Miranda continues to say I have a cup in my nose. She kept trying the aspirator herself, nothing. Mom just wasn't listening. I called Keenan over to look, he said it's something plastic. What? He said get some tweezers. Sitting there in disbelief, what? He left the room and said I have something and came back with needle nose pliers. What? Miranda laid back and WOW there really was a cup in her nose! What the! The little pink cup from the Princess Castle tea set.
NOTE TO SELF: Listen to your daughter when she says, "I have a cup in my nose".
